You know me, anytime to stamp Christmas cards is fine with me. I love circles images and thought a retro style stamped background sheet would be fun to make. Of course I didn't count on having to do about six tries to get the perfect background. So why is perfection so hard? LOLI started with a 12"x12" white sheet of card stock and brayered Opalite Winter Rust reinker over the entire sheet. This give a subtle shimmer that doesn't show up on the scanner. I then stamped the circle background by Great Impressions in Colorbox Olive Pastel, the star background by Great Impressions in silver pigment ink. Next I stamped the circle from DP Artworks Retro Cube in gold pigment ink and Layering Circles by Hero Arts red and gold. Be sure to let all pigment inks dry before cutting up the background sheet.
While the background was drying I made black cards and layered Bazzil Parakeet. I then cut of the background sheet in various curvy shapes and attached it over the Parakeet. The focal image was stamped on white card stock and small stars were punched out randomly. This was layered with a red mat and red Stickles was applied to the stars. Another feature that doesn't scan well. But, you get the idea.
