Just Plain Fun

There are times when you want to create just for fun. After working on four months of classes, doing swaps and product spotlight for the shop, it's refreshing to sit down and stamp without and agenda. This Paula Best stamp is just one of those times. I stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored with Marvy makeres. Tore the paper and added a bit of glitter. Just plain fun. Now....who will receive this card?

Wisemen Seek Him

So I got a call last week from the shop and they wanted to know if I had time to make some cards for a nice lady that was looking for local handmade cards to send overseas. This was one of the rare times I was projectless (is that a word?) and I thought "why not". She needed three cards, totally doable, color and style was my choice. Her one request was that they had a religious theme. How refreshing, someone that wants to put Christ in Christmas.
So I sat down and 1 1/2 hours later I had her cards with matching envelopes. It was one of those fun stamping assignments that is pure joy to make. Don't we wish they were all so easy?
Merry Christmas everyone and have a blessed New Year.

Long Time No Blog

Sorry for the absence, just busy like everyone else and the poor ole blog suffers. I thought I would post an old card from a while back. All stamps on glossy card stock in black ink. The sponged with various inks and sparkly glitter on the snowy areas.

I would like to say thanks to all those that visit this blog and for all your nice comments. Each one is very special to me. I wish for all of you a wonderful Christmas filled with the joy of Christ's birth and the love of those that are near to your heart. Have a happy new year with lots of stamping. What could be better?
